Traveling To Sealdah: Comfortable Train Journey

This year was amazing for my close relatives and also for me. We had some or the other functions each month. Last month my cousin got married and I had to visit Sealdah to attend the same. Personally, I like to attend family functions. These functions give us a break from the hectic work schedule. We meet our close friends and relatives during the functions and refresh ourselves. I was excited for my cousin's wedding as one wicket from the bachelor zone was down.

I managed my work and made myself free from work for a week. In the meantime, I checked for the availability of tickets. I personally prefer traveling with the Indian railways as the tickets are affordable. Also, railways are the safe mode of transportation.  Indian railways offer a huge window for the booking of tickets in terms of luxuries and budget. So, the travelers can book an economic ticket or a luxurious class ticket as per the need.

My Travel ToSealdah:

I checked for the various train options available to travel from Asansol to Sealdah. To my luck, the tickets were available and booked them in no time using online booking methods. I preferred to travel in the Intercity Express (13504) train. I had booked my ticket in the First Class AC compartment as I like to have a hassle free traveling.

The train departs from Asansol Junction at 6.35 am and reaches to Sealdah Railway Station at 10.45 am. The Train runs between the two station and covers a total distance of 220 km. I reached the Asansol station in a jiffy. I was a bit late and as soon as I settled on my seat, the train began its journey.

I comfortably sat on my reserved berth and enjoyed reading my novel. The train reached Sealdah before I could finish my novel.  I got down to the station and waited for my cousin who was going to pick me from the platform.

Exploring TheSealdah Station:

By the time, I was waiting for my cousin; I observed the passengers and the trains just to pass my time. The station was well maintained and had a waiting room as well. Some food stalls and drinking water facility was available on the platforms.
About The Sealdah Railway Station:

•    It is one of the major railway stations which serves Kolkata.
•    This station is said to be one of the busiest railway stations in India.
•    It has 13 platforms which serve millions of passengers.
•    In India, Sealdah station is one of the oldest station and it was previously a tram station which was started in 1869.

Quality Time With Family:

My cousin called me and asked to come near the exit. I picked up my luggage and headed towards the exit where he was waiting for me. We drove to his home where my family members were eagerly waiting for my welcome.

The time spent with the cousins while attending the function was very amazing. The family function was great a success and we had fun.
