Budhapara Lake

Mahamaya Temple

It is dedicated to goddess Kali and it is believed that the goddess possess powers of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva and so it is a great healing centre. Navarathri is famous in the temple.

It is one of the busiest stations of the country handling about 3 lakh passengers daily. It is governed by the south east central railway and it has been granted grade A -1 as it is the highest revenue earning railway in India. A misting system has been introduced by the railways in the Raipur railway station and it is helpful to get away from the heat during the summers. It is the first station to introduce this technology.
